Wolfreton is a vibrant, happy and ambitious school where students can thrive. As part of The Consortium Academy Trust, we are ambitious about the future – creating learning environments and excellence in teaching and learning that provide our children and young people with the best chance at a successful future.
We are a large, successful secondary school serving the Haltemprice area of the East Riding of Yorkshire. As a community of almost 1400 students, including a Sixth Form of over 130, young people can enjoy expert teaching, excellent care and a wealth of opportunities — whilst achieving strong results at both GCSE and A Level. Generations of families have chosen Wolfreton, and many more travel to join our community, where we believe the best is yet to come. Our values — Excellence, Endeavour and Respect — are known as The Wolfreton Way. They capture our high aspirations, our determination to give every child the very best, and our belief in working together to achieve success.

Star Student Success: Rebecca Rebecca has achieved an exceptional set of GCSE results, securing an outstanding seven Grade 9s and two Grade 8s. She will now continue her studies at college, where she plans to study Music, History and Mathematics. Rebecca's school experience was shaped by a wide range of opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom. Alongside her studies, she embraced enrichment activities that allowed her to challenge herself, develop new skills and create lasting memories. Among her highlights were the Peru expedition, the ski trip and performing as part of the orchestra, experiences that broadened her horizons and helped build confidence and independence. She also spoke warmly about the supportive culture within the school, recognising the encouragement of both staff and fellow students. Additional revision sessions played an important role in helping her prepare for examinations and achieve her full potential. Congratulations, Rebecca, on your outstanding achievements. We wish you every success as you embark on the next stage of your education and pursue your passions and ambitions.
Star Student Success: Luke Luke has achieved an excellent set of GCSE results, including a Grade 9, seven Grade 7s and a Grade 6. In September, he will continue his studies at The Consortium Sixth Form College, where he plans to study History, PE and Law. For Luke, Year 11 stands out as the most memorable part of his school journey. He credits much of his success to the personalised support he received, particularly through one-to-one guidance that helped him build confidence and stay focused on his goals. One piece of advice that stayed with him throughout his studies was to start revising early, a simple approach that he believes made a real difference when exam season arrived. Choosing to stay at The Consortium Sixth Form College felt like a natural next step, offering the familiarity, support and opportunities he was looking for as he prepares for the future. Congratulations, Luke, on your fantastic achievements. We wish you every success in the years ahead.
Star Student Success: Olivia Olivia has achieved a fantastic set of GCSE results, including two Grade 9s, five Grades 7-8 and a Grade 6. In September, she will continue her studies at The Consortium Sixth Form College, where her A levels will include History and English Language. Olivia's time at school was shaped by far more than academic study. From memorable trips and visits to representing the school on the football pitch, she embraced a wide range of opportunities while building lasting friendships along the way. As exams approached, Olivia made the most of the additional revision sessions available, helping her feel well prepared and confident. She is looking forward to continuing her education in a familiar setting, benefiting from the college's supportive atmosphere and dedicated teachers. Congratulations, Olivia, on your fantastic achievements, and all the very best for the future.
