A Level Results Day 2020
Despite the challenges and uncertainty of the last few months, today we celebrated the resilience and hard work of our students and staff as we came together on A Level Results Day. Groups of students were invited into school to collect their results within small friendship groups to ensure social distancing was maintained and staff were on hand to offer support and guidance where required. As usual, there was a mix of university destinations, both local and further afield.
Two of Wolfreton’s prospective medics, Emily and Oliver, are heading to Liverpool and York universities respectively. Oliver said ‘I was not expecting this! It has been awful through lockdown but I have been proactive, joined group chats with other people going to study medicine and I am now really looking forward to going to York to do my course.’ Emily, who was up at 6.30am to check whether she had her place at university said ‘I am ecstatic about my results. I am so excited about next year and it’s just amazing!’ Other success stories included Beatrice who will read Modern Languages with Translation and Interpreting at Newcastle, Ellie who is going to Salford to study Prosthetics and Orthotics, Sophie who is going to study International Business and Finance at Manchester and Evan who will study Geography. We would like to congratulate all of our students who have shown great fortitude during these unprecedented times and wish them well as they take the next steps in their lives. #Excellence Endeavour Respect
