Student Support
At Wolfreton we pride ourselves on the pastoral support we are able to provide for sixth form students.
A dedicated team, including the Assistant Headteacher who leads the Sixth Form, the Sixth Form Student Services Manager and the Sixth Form Tutor and Mentor Team work together to meet students’ needs from enrolment through to progression to university, apprenticeships or employment after the final examinations.
Each student is allocated to a tutorial group of approximately 20 students. This group meets each morning and the tutor is available to support individual needs. The Sixth Form Student Services Manager is a non-teaching member of staff, based in the Sixth Form College and available to students each day throughout the term.
Students are supported in their academic courses and to access the range of enrichment and personal development opportunities available. As students begin to explore their post-18 options, specialist support is available to those applying to university including during the UCAS application process and subsequent university interviews. For those looking to move on to Apprenticeships, our Careers and Guidance Co-ordinator is on hand as are our Careers Advisors.
The Sixth Form team are committed to providing the best support possible and will always seek to find the best way forward for individuals. Communication with parents and carers is an important part of this, so please do not hesitate in getting in touch if you have any queries or concerns.
