Curriculum Model
Key Stage 3: Years 7, 8 and 9
Our Key Stage 3 curriculum is designed to teach students the knowledge and skills that are essential not only to achieve exam results that reflect their true potential, but also for their development as learners.
From Year 7, students follow an ambitious, high-quality curriculum that is both stimulating and demanding. This is designed to enable them to progress on to study the EBacc at Key Stage 4, whilst ensuring a strong education in all subjects of the National Curriculum. All of our students also study Drama at Key Stage 3, and the follow our Personal Development curriculum which includes the PSHE, and statutory RSHE.
We operate a 2-week timetable of 50 x 1-hour lessons (or 25 x 1-hour lessons per week). The timetable almost entirely a mirror timetable.
